This step is the first step to run Biofuel Decision Support System for the selected biomass crop in your area of interest.
Start with selecting a State. If one State is not listed, the BDSS is not available for that state at this time.
Once a State is selected, available counties will be populated in the County. If one or more County is not available,
the BDSS currently does not have enough information for that county. In such cases, selecting a neighboring county
might be appropriate.
Next, select crop category. BDSS can support a limited number of crops due to data limitation.
Specify the project duration.
Next, supply the farm gate price for the biomass crop of your choice. If you do not know this, the BDSS uses a crop-specific value
from existing estimates.
Finally, enter teh cost of land. The default values for cost of land is provided for reference.
Note that the default values for project duration and farm gate price change if the crop type is changed. Locally available
accurate values can be used instead of defaults in all cases. At the results stage, users will be able to change input
values and compare the results.
